About the Text Compare (Diff)

Paste an original and a changed version of any text, such as a document, list or code, and see exactly which lines were added or removed, highlighted in green and red.

How to use it

  1. Paste the original text on the left.
  2. Paste the changed text on the right.
  3. Click Compare to highlight the differences.

Frequently asked questions

Can it ignore spacing differences?

Yes. Tick "Ignore leading/trailing spaces" so lines that differ only by indentation are treated as the same.
